Twilight Official Trailer and some updates
Sunday, July 20, 2008 @ 7:03 PM

mood: tired but a bit cheerful
listening to: Moment of Truth - FM Static

Quick entry. Just got home. Need to eat dinner first. So happy I bought 2 pairs of shoes. One was on sale. One's purple, the other was gold. Not sure if I could wear it to school though; gotta talk to the guards.

Later after I ate and tidy up my room and the kitchen, I'm gonna edit this entry and talk about my busy week: thesis title, the earthquake rumor, Mom's changing decision, etc.

[edit]
Or perhaps the next week. I have prelims coming up. I might not blog till it's finished. -_- Anyway-- look what's on finally!

The official trailer was released! Yay!

I'll have to comment on this later. Okay fine, one comment: Check out Robert Pattinson's look on 00:23. His eyes are GORGEOUS.

I gotta say that I was the first to sign in the reservation list for Breaking Dawn at Robinsons Imus. *cackles* Edward! Edward! Edward! I want my own "Edward".

Ahem. Gotta stop hoping coz it ain't gonna happen. LOL

Ta-ta for now.[/edit]

Height Change and Color Preferences

mood: pleased
listening to: Stay In Love - Mariah Carey

As it turns out, my growth hormone is still active. I found out this summer that 70% of my tops are either hanging or near to it. I dislike tops that makes me uncomfortable when bending or sitting.. you know, the ones that you have to hold on the backside just so you won't look ridiculous. *sigh* So yeah, I couldn't bring myself to ask mom if I could "replenish" my wardrobe. Subtley though, I tried. (I was desperate.) Thankfully, she told me to buy some. =)

I always have this weakness for white, black, brown, and black with pink tops, but what surprised me is my recent interest with tshirts! A few months or years ago, I would see tshirts on racks and then I would wrinkle my nose, thinking 'sleeveless tops look so much better on girls' or something like that. (Yeah, I was biased haha.) Now I love statement tees!

I'm still cautious about the colors though. A few years back I'm in love with pink tops. Yeah, preference changes so.. I was looking through my tops for the "shrunken ones" to give away and I've noticed from the stacks my clear color preferences. Pink and white tops are dominant (since like I've said, I was addicted to pink tops), followed by black, then brown. I've only some yellow, blue, and red. I dislike orange and so I only have like one orange top-- given to me by a relative of which I forgot exactly who. Come to think of it, I never really liked orange, yellow, and red even as colors. It's quite ironic that being a Leo and Earth Dragon, those are "my" colors. Ugh.

So yeah.. bought a black top at Tribal. I was at Camp Beverly Hills when I became excited with choosing tops-- unfortunately, with all the other items I bought earlier, I could only afford two more tops. I decided on the "Some are born LUCKY" top-- and I bought it on white and black! LOL. My first time buying the same tee for two different colors.. They're of different sizes too. The black one'ss medium and the white's small. Here's what it looks like:

Yeah, I know, I know, my hair's hiding the statement. LOL My hair's so long now.

Here's another one:

The pic's blurred since I had to resize it and then edit the lighting. It was taken late afternoon.

I'm still looking for black leggings, a specific length skirt, and some shorts. Rainy season's coming up so I suppose shorts are hiding now or something. I couldn't find any my size. They're either too high, too small, or too big. Ugh!

gorgeous grey chiffon.. I want it!!

I want this skirt!

lovin' casual..

cute top..

I need to start my Spanish self-study. I found out my tape recorder's broken (of old age probably). I was so excited about doing my own tape tutorial too! Hmph.

Boy: Do you like anyone?
Girl: Well, actually.. more like "love".
B: Who is it?
G: Umm.. three letters.. starts with a Y and ends with a U.
B: Funny, I love that person too.
Waaay corny.. but cute somehow.. I guess.

Reservations At Bookstores
Sunday, June 08, 2008 @ 10:06 PM

mood: quite excited
listening to: I Got You - Nikki Flores

You know what's the worst thing you hear when you're in a bookstore and eager to purchase a specific book? The words from the customer service sayin', "We ran out of stock and we don't know when our supplier will come." Add a cherry on top and you got this: "Also, there's no guarantee that the supplier will deliver the specified book[s]." Grr. So yeah, my ears have been accustomed to that recently [for almost a month]. BUT! Thanks to a text message from Marie, I finally got a copy of Eclipse. It's not the special edition though, but I'm glad all the same. (I can't complain; I already have it!) I've been waitin' for it. (Okay, okay, May and I have been waitin' for it.) So I finally got it-- forgot the exact date but it's this week. I was at school and it was near lunch time. I became spontaneous so I decided to just go to Robinsons in Imus in about a minute of thinking. Yes, yes, I do have my moments.

[Here's a note: There's something that pissed me off about that. They didn't even contact me when they got the books! It's like I left details and stuff about my reservation for nothin'! Wth! That's why I think it's better to annoy them than trust them. Call them every other day and ask for the book. It's their job to check it anyway. Besides, I've learned it this way. They won't contact you despite the reservation details. Argh!]

Though I've got the book already, I've decided not to read it till.. maybe August-- if I could resist that long, that is. LOL (I probably won't.) So why wait, you ask? Haha.. I just thought that maybe if there's something I'd be eager to do in between the release of Breaking Dawn (it's on August 2, I heard) and Twilight the movie, then it will be less dreadful on those months. Does that sound weird? Whatever. I'll test my patience. For now, I'll wait for Breaking Dawn.

Searching, Looking, and Dreaming
Monday, April 14, 2008 @ 2:13 AM

mood: quite dandy
listening to: I Believe - Blessed Union of Souls

I went to National Bookstore [SM B] in the hopes that there might be Twilight on stock now. Unfortunately, there's still none. I asked the lady on Customer Service and she said that there's really no specific date their supplier comes. It's such a let down for me; I really really wanna read it. I got the number of NB in Robinson's Imus but their line's always busy.

I've been trying to decide which book I would bring on my trip since I noticed that I'll be staying at Abu Dhabi airport for about 6hrs. What could a girl like me do for such a long period of time? I've no laptop, I couldn't put my mobile account on unlimited text, and I won't have a game console to amuse myself-- bringing my old GameBoy will just add weight and more batteries to bring. (Btw, I'm quite interested with PSP nowadays. Hmm.) I guess I could like look around, maybe even take some pictures but heck, I don't think I could do that for 6hrs you know? Besides, I might "glue" myself near the terminal just so that I could prevent myself from getting lost and that would save me time from asking people where I should go. *sigh* For some reason I really worry about getting lost in an airport with foreigners. o_o'

So anyway, I've decided that if there's no Twilight then I'll just buy The Looking Glass Wars.. and so I did! =D I've only read the back and the prologue (yeah, couldn't resist). It seemed nice so far and I adore the originality of the plot. Hopefully it will keep me awake long enough for my flight to London, calm my nerves, and stimulate my imagination.

Aside from buying The Looking Glass Wars, I also bought The Illustrated Dream Dictionary by Russel Grant, illustrated by Vicky Emptage, from BookSale. I've been looking for a cheap dream interpretation book lately and this one is below P100, probably because it's kinda old (©1996). Nevertheless it has a lot of symbols there and are quite helpful. I managed to interpret my past dream and it's so accurate, it's freaky. So now, to understand my unconscious, I'll probably try to keep track of my dreams and the symbols/objects on it. I won't probably do it all the time though since sometimes I'm too lazy to write or I won't remember the dream much. I'm still trying to decide whether or not I'll bring this to my trip. It won't occupy much space on my luggage.

The hopefully final sched

mood: stressed
listening to: Tangled Up In Me - Skye Sweetnam

Sorry, it's not my day to care. I never thought I'd live the day when I get tired of SM. I had to keep coming to SM to Active Travel and other travel agencies for days to check if there are available flights to London or Switzerland. (As you can see, we're really on a tight spot.) I had a seat at Cathay Pacific but unfortunately it was cancelled due to some holiday that I don't bother to know. Then after two days later I got a seat on Etihad airways. So yeah, I get to roam around the mall, checking out some of my favorite clothes stores and whatnots. Look at the shirt I bought from GG. "Sorry, it's not my day to care." I love it. (Totally opposite on my current predicament.) XD As always, I also go to the bookstores. I swear I still couldn't find a good enough dream analysis book, and a copy of Tithe: The Modern Faerie Tale. The sequel, Ironside and Valiant is always available though. I can't read a book without starting with the first one. (But I must confess I had skipped a second book from a certain fav trilogy. The story still made sense to me so it's ok haha-- and I'll buy the book when I'll have extra money.) And then there's the The Looking Glass Wars. I find it very interesting. I haven't seen the sequel book, Seeing Red, anywhere though. By the way, I've been dying to read Twilight. Frances, lucky you. I wonder if I'll like Edward Cullen too. I wonder.

This afternoon I got a call from my mom. She told me that she's going to Germany so that the ticket won't be wasted. She's so lucky. I really really wanna see Tita Phine and my cousin Rey. It's been so long. *sigh* She also told me that they a good plan and that she bought me an electronic ticket-- London to Switzerland. So here's my schedule: (the final, I hope] *crosses fingers on both hands*

April 14 - April 15
04:10pm - departure from Manila
08:45pm - arrival to Abu Dhabi
02:45am - departure from Abu Dhabi
07:30am - arrival to London [Heathrow]
[go to British Airlines through taxi]
12:00pm - departure from Heathrow
03:00pm - arrival to Switzerland [Zurich]
Estimated time of everything: approximately 23 hrs. It's almost 2 days. *sigh* This must be my punishment for my incompetence of reading European passport expiration dates. Well, it's better than not going, right? I won't care if I'm dead tired as long as I get to be with my mother dear. Sana matuloy naaa.
"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
~ Jeremiah 29:11
Thanks, Marie. You don't know of it but your text messages help me calm down sometimes. I miss you, girl.
