Quick entry. Just got home. Need to eat dinner first. So happy I bought 2 pairs of shoes. One was on sale. One's purple, the other was gold. Not sure if I could wear it to school though; gotta talk to the guards.
Later after I ate and tidy up my room and the kitchen, I'm gonna edit this entry and talk about my busy week: thesis title, the earthquake rumor, Mom's changing decision, etc.
[edit]
Or perhaps the next week. I have prelims coming up. I might not blog till it's finished. -_- Anyway-- look what's on finally!
I'll have to comment on this later. Okay fine, one comment: Check out Robert Pattinson's look on 00:23. His eyes are GORGEOUS.
I gotta say that I was the first to sign in the reservation list for Breaking Dawn at Robinsons Imus. *cackles* Edward! Edward! Edward!

I want my own "Edward".Ahem. Gotta stop hoping coz it ain't gonna happen. LOL
Ta-ta for now.[/edit]

You know what's the worst thing you hear when you're in a bookstore and eager to purchase a specific book? The words from the customer service sayin', "We ran out of stock and we don't know when our supplier will come." Add a cherry on top and you got this: "Also, there's no guarantee that the supplier will deliver the specified book[s]." Grr. So yeah, my ears have been accustomed to that recently [for almost a month]. BUT! Thanks to a text message from Marie, I finally got a copy of Eclipse. It's not the special edition though, but I'm glad all the same. (I can't complain; I already have it!) I've been waitin' for it. (Okay, okay, May and I have been waitin' for it.) So I finally got it-- forgot the exact date but it's this week. I was at school and it was near lunch time. I became spontaneous so I decided to just go to Robinsons in Imus in about a minute of thinking. Yes, yes, I do have my moments.[Here's a note: There's something that pissed me off about that. They didn't even contact me when they got the books! It's like I left details and stuff about my reservation for nothin'! Wth! That's why I think it's better to annoy them than trust them. Call them every other day and ask for the book. It's their job to check it anyway. Besides, I've learned it this way. They won't contact you despite the reservation details. Argh!]
Though I've got the book already, I've decided not to read it till.. maybe August-- if I could resist that long, that is. LOL (I probably won't.) So why wait, you ask? Haha.. I just thought that maybe if there's something I'd be eager to do in between the release of Breaking Dawn (it's on August 2, I heard) and Twilight the movie, then it will be less dreadful on those months. Does that sound weird? Whatever. I'll test my patience. For now, I'll wait for Breaking Dawn.

I've been pretty addicted to the novel Twilight by Stephenie Meyer since my uncle bought the book for me when I was staying in Switzerland. (I could've bought the book way before that but it's always out of stock in the bookstores around here.) I've been interested about it for so long so when I read it, it's certainly very invigorating for me. LOL I suppose just like any girl who loves a mysterious and gorgeous guy, I somehow find myself falling in love with Edward Cullen. That and the fact that he's err.. inhuman. You see, it's been years since I'm trying to find a vampire romance novel that doesn't include too much umm how do I say this.. sexuality.. the morbid-ness (is that the correct term? .. morbidity?) amongst other things. Pardon me; I couldn't explain it in a more simple and blunt way. Anyway, I'm also not fond of those kinds of novels with middle-aged characters. No offense about that, really. I just enjoy reading characters that are close to my age range and even if I am getting older too fast (I'm turning 20 in August), I don't think I'd lose that interest in reading teen novels-- not that Twilight is only for teens coz it's not. Many adults and children read and enjoy it too, which proves just how appealing it is.
[Though thinking about it, Vampire Knight does come close to the kind of vampire romance/angst story I've been wanting. (I'm also heavily drawn to Zero so.. hehe) But still...]So aside from liking Twilight coz the characters are teens, there's romance, sarcasm here and there (absolutely love the humor), and that character you can't help but love (*coughEdwardcough*), it also amazed me how Bella Swan is a lot like me. I swear. When I was reading the book (it's on Bella's POV), it's like reading something I've experienced/did/said or would have thought/done/said (sans the vampire encounters of course). It feels so great that I get to read a novel with a female character who is so much like me coz that way, I know I'm not the only one around who's *ahem* different. The result? Now, I'm officially addicted to it.
Chamie stayed with me for 3 days and 2 nights (sleep-over) starting the day after I came back home to the Philippines. I appreciate it since I really need someone around because my depressive tendencies were starting to slowly eat me again. So when I told her about Twilight, it seems she's interested in it too-- but she refuses to read the book ["That's the Twilight book? It's so thick!"]. She prefers to watch the movie. In our country, it opens in January 2009. Great. We get to live in suspence. I'm so excited that I watch the trailer and the video below over and over and over and over and ["Oh stop."] over and over again. LOL
Here's the other video with the scenes from the set of Twilight and some random interviews from the cast. Enjoy. =3

Guys, I'm sorry I've been too busy and tired lately. My mom and I are trying to cover as many sites as possible. We rarely spent hours on the hotel. Yesterday, we went to the wax museum, Queen's Art Gallery, and the Buckingham Palace [outside of it]. I've been around Kensington High Street, Portobello, etc. Hopefully this week we'll be able to go to the London Bridge. My mom and I are a bit hesitant about riding London's Eye but ah well, we'll see.
A random thing that comes to mind: The keyboard here in Europe is different. Some keys are not in the usual places. I get confused when I need to type a certain punctuation mark. I have to find it. Ah well.
About the tag [Ate Jonah], I'm constantly reminding myself that I should make the list whenever something pops on my mind so hopefully by the next time I go OL here, I'll be able to post it. =)
Well guys, I miss you all. I don't know if you receive my text messages (I use my mom's mobile) coz some of you don't reply but hopefully you get them. Thanks to those who take time and spend a peso whenever they think of me. Like I say, little things like that is enough to make me happy. I'll post about other stuff that happened to me here for the past few weeks pati ung sa Switzerland next time. [Then when I finally come home on the 8th of May, I'll upload lots of pics.]
There's no YM here in this internet cafe so I couldn't leave a message for you there but I might leave a message on friendster. So, catch up with you guys later! TCCIC!
[It's been so long that I've been away from a computer and internet but surprisingly I haven't an episode of withdrawal syndrome.. yet, I suppose. I seldom turn on my mp3 player too. Very odd of me.]
Btw, I'm loving Twilight. =) Edward Cullen is like a dream.

I couldn't sleep. My insomia is attacking me as usual. From what I recall, I didn't consume much sweets today. I lay in bed, wondering why I couldn't go to sleep. I decided to use the net and went through blogs, and here's what I saw!
Yami: How about you? Who have you come as?LittleKuriboh went to the ReCon with his fiancé Safty (she's dressed as Ryo Bakura) and they went with Yami [the plushie]! In this video, LittleKuriboh does his versatile dubbing using Dan Green's voice acting-- which I absolutely love. Yami goes around asking cosplayers some random stuff. There are a lot of Naruto cosplayers by the way. The humor behind this is, for those who doesn't watch anime abridged series, that fans seem to think that the Naruto Abridged series rivals that of Yu-gi-oh the Abridged series. [YGOAS is the first of the now booming anime abridged series. It was made by Little Kuriboh. I'm not being biased about that fact since I did watch NAS before I discovered YGOAS.] In my humble opinion, I think YGOAS is better than the NAS since the voices (dubbed by LK) are so similar to the original American dubbers that you'd get this amused feeling that what you're watching is real down to its comedic sense! It has certainly fulfilled the fantasies of fans [like me] that would like Yu-gi-oh to be more humorous.
Boy dressed as Rock Lee: I'm Rock Lee.
Yami: Rock Lee. From--from what show?
BdaRL: Naruto.
Yami: Never heard of it!
BdaRL: *laughs*
Yami: Does that involve card games?
BdaRL: No.
Yami: Oh. That's the same show she had.
[Deidara and the boy before.. is a he. LOL]
Yami: Do you have ninja info cards?
I love it when Yami the plushie goes around and comments on random stuff.
That and to *coughmakefunoftheseriousnessofplayingchildren'scardgamescough*. ^^'
So anyway, it gets me thinking-- if I were to go to anime cons (I've been wishing to), I wonder who I'll come as. Given the chance [with available and affordable costumes and props], I'd probably dress as Haruno Sakura from Naruto or Amane Misa from DeathNote or Tifa Lockheart from FF7 or Misty from Pokémon or Higurashi Kagome from Inu Yasha or Kaname Chidori from Full Metal Panic or Yuuki Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi or Mikage Aya from Ayashi no Ceres or Kinomoto Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura [just coz I love the clothes she wears made by Tomoyo] or Mazaki Anzu from Yu-gi-oh or Honda Touru from Fruits Basket or... well, I can't name them all! LOL I just brainstormed a bit. So there. I doubt I'll be able to do it though, what with school and other stuff. Besides, I might be too old before I get the chance. I'd rather have my costume and do pictorials on my own then put it up on deviantart.
The reason why I couldn't go to sleep yet was probably because I'm destined to watch this so that I would be in a good mood before sleeping.. yeah. I just love exaggerating. I hope I dream about Yami. LOL
"Haha. Moo."
One last thing: I want a Yami plushie so baaad! The only plushies (if it could be called that) I have are Clefairy-turning-pokéball and a Clefa. I had it years ago. I want a.. er.. human character plushie. There goes my birthday wish. LOL

My mom and I talked about my upcoming vacation in Europe. I'll be going to 3 countries: England (where she is at the moment), Switzerland (where my aunt Tita Risma and her family live), and Germany (where Tita Phine and her family live). I'm not sure if we're going for quick stops on other countries though. It's a pity I might not have the chance to stay in Spain even for just a couple of days-- it's where my mom lived like 1/3 of her life [from teen years to young adult], and I am a Spanish citizen-- by papers, not by blood-- then again I won't know for sure, right? I mean, consider the early Spanish rule over the Philippines and all that.
England is one of the places I would love to stay for some time. Japan is another and America (the latter I've already lived in years ago). I absolutely love this opportunity because after I graduate here, I'll be living in England for two years (based on my and my mom's agreement) to work or study/work, then I'll be going back here in the Philippines maybe to study some more (it's like my dream to study in UP). I'm still thinking if I would study in America or not for my MA or even a PhD since Harvard would be like a dream scene-- but it still scares me somehow. I don't know. I kinda wanna challenge myself or even for just the experience. A lot of successful psychologists studied at Harvard. It would certainly be great if I somehow make a theory of my own there. (Dream on, girl.)
That would be my somewhat imaginary plans but I know that it won't be final since a lot will surely happen and there might be some things that could manipulate or influence the outcomes-- the unexpected ones, like certain job offers, travel urges, and then there's marriage and.. hold up! Yes, marriage. XD I know I'm a bit too young to think about it but well, I do think about it. Hopefully someday I'll be married to the person who loves me more than any woman in the world [excluding family members, of course] and vice versa. *sigh* I am a dreamer.
Okay, about the title-- what are the three things that pop in my mind when I hear the word/place "England"?
1) Harry Potter (yeah, you probably thought of it yourself),
2) The Parent Trap (the remake starring Lindsay Lohan) and What A Girl Wants (starring Amanda Bynes), and behold--
3) LittleKuriboh! Bet ya didn't see that comin'!
Earlier on the phone with my mom, I asked her if the place we're going to stay is near the King's Cross Station. I swear I could somehow see her smiling on the other end when she paused and said, "Oh I see. Harry Potter?" =D My mom's a fan. She loves watching sci-fi and fantasy, magic-related films.
I grinned and asked again, "Umm.. So is it near?"
She replied, "Oh, we could go there. Yes."
I almost jumped from my seat. Really. I have this huge fan-smile on. "Alright!"
"I'll watch you go through Platform 9 and 3/4," my mom joked.
"You're coming with me through it! I am sooo gonna take lots of pictures!"
So there you have it. I'm a big fan of Harry Potter, though I can't say I'm obsessed with it (it seems like nothing can compare to my Yu Yu Hakusho obsession).
On to the second one. Why Parent Trap and What A Girl Wants, you ask? Remember the scene when they decided to switch places and one of them went to London? The part when Lindsay's character was looking out from the car? I love that scene, and also the one when she and her mom went to work. By the way, did you notice the song I'm listening to this moment? ("listening to" section on top) Yeah. Here Comes The Sun by The Beatles and There She Goes by by Sixpence None The Richer (or whoever else made a version of it) becomes memorable to me.
In What A Girl Wants, Amanda Bynes' character went to London to find her father. She walked on the bridge with Oliver James and with the other scenes, London's looking really fabulous. I especially love the song Crazy by Meredith Brooks. I reminds me of that scene when Amanda and Oliver fell from the canoe.
Last but most certainly not least! *cue of drumroll* LittleKuriboh! I am currently obsessed with Yu-gi-oh! The Abridged Series. I love how his voice is really similar to the original English dubbers-- it's amazing. The guy is clearly talented. I've read through his LiveJournal and picked a couple of places he said he's been to and asked my mom if we're near there. I was hoping I still have my luck since that "yes" from King's Cross Station but unfortunately, it ran out. She said it's far and we need to travel by train. In other words: I'm not gonna be able to go there.
It makes me sad since this is like a great opportunity for a fan such as myself to actually meet the guy. I was imagining how I would react. I was planning on how I would stand in a street corner and stalk him if ever he passes by. Just kidding, that's creepy. Besides, he'll probably run away. But somehow I would gather up all my courage and ask for an autograph, a picture, and a voice-dedicated message. It would be awesome. But yeah, it will not happen. *sigh* But I still get to step on the King's Cross Station. That's still something, right? Watch out pure and half-bloods, I might just discover I'm not a muggle after all. *wink, wink*
